// Kick rocks, mate. ||
The sun was setting, but it was somewhat hard to tell considering the beautiful display of fiery colors was blocked by a thick layer of clouds. A light rain fell, annoying the people and animals stuck outside, but from the looks of the sky things could have been worse. Urma felt like she had been walking forever, but she couldn't head back to Blood Village yet. No, she had set out with the intention of returning with something worthwhile and she wasn't going to go back until her mission was accomplished. Up until that point, she hadn't done much as a Rat. Granted, she was only recently promoted, but she had nothing to show for it regardless. Usually, she wanted to avoid all conversation with others, but the conversation she would hopefully eventually walk into was a different kind of conversation. It would involve negotiating, intimidation, and even some sneaky wordplay. She could easily get behind that. However, with each pawstep, she was became less and less motivated. The distance she'd walked coupled with the frustrating rain and the absolute jack squat she had to show for her efforts were really starting to get to her. Sighing, she looked up at the sky. Maybe I should just turn back. It's not that big of a deal, is it? She huffed and looked around, seriously contemplating turning back. Then her eyes landed on Waterstone. It was just up ahead a few blocks. Plenty of critters lurk in there... I might just stumble upon somebody useful... eh, why not, with a little nod to herself, she set off at a waddle towards the tree line.
The raindrops stopped their gentle assault on Urma's wrinkles as she paused underneath the trees. She shook her body vigorously, sending droplets in every direction. From her slightly protected spot under one of the trees, she scanned the area around her. A path winded into the depths of the park. Either it was the light dose of rain or the fact that it would be getting dark soon, but there were only a few stragglers making use of the path. She didn't think she'd have much issue there, so she set off once again. The few humans hanging out barely glanced in her direction as she made her way past, looking in every direction to try to find somebody useful. If not, she'd head back to Blood Village and count the day as a loss. Just as she thought she was going to have to turn back, she spotted something. A four legged something. She wasn't sure what he was doing, but she was doing to make this chance encounter worth her while. Fixing her trademark "I hate everything" expression on her face, she walked up to the cat, trying her best to look as intimidating as she could. "Cat." she "greeted".
