The sun was setting into the ocean, its rays spreading out over the docks like orange and pink hued fingers, casting a hazy light on everything. Being a Crab came with many perks, one of which being able to watch the sun rise and set, each morning and night like a new oil painting unveiled for all to marvel at its beauty. Not to mention, Judah was incredibly self aware and quite enjoyed how flattering the lighting was on him. The way the light reflected off the red hues in his sable coat, illuminated the rip and curl of each muscle along his lithe figure. Vanity wasn't quite his taste, but that didn't stop him from carrying his head high as he walked along the sidewalks of the unfamiliar city. Each step took him deeper as he followed his nose along each winding sidewalk and through alleyways that stank of a million different scents. As time wore on he began to become increasingly aware of the netting that dug into his shoulder blades - slung over his neck and side was a netted bag holding two decently sized Bass.
The fish glinted against any light that touched them, still wet from the barrel that they had been swimming in circles in only moments before the human man swiftly grabbed them and threw them into the rucksack. The slick bodies of the fish shifted and slid back and forth with each step he took, and he almost began to regret taking the bag with the two biggest fish he could find. Only an hour or so before, he had trot down the docks where all the fisherman had pulled in their boats for the day, unloading their catches to take home with them. Luck would have it that one very busy two legger wasn't keeping a good watch over his bounty, allowing Judah to swiftly nab what he wanted and take off with it as if nothing had happened at all. He needed something impressive, something worth its weight in an exchange.
The shepherd had been briefed on what exactly he was set out to do. The search party for the missing dogs had been successful except for one major thing, or rather, one major someone... Oceane. Nowhere to be found and with what seemed like nobody having seen anything, they were all at a loss. The joyous victory of their rescue was dulled by the absence of their young Boss. It was important to keep an optimistic mind about it all, and so though his job was a heavy one, he sauntered along with his characteristic grin as he tried in vain to ignore the hanging weight (and the growing smell) of the fish hanging off of him. The buildings were many and loomed high above the streets, blending into each other as walls of cement and benign scents. The scent he was told to follow had brought him to a plain building with many glass windows and a few lights on inside. Judah watched as he spied a human or two walking about, the darkness that had fallen now a tell tale sign that the time was getting later and perhaps these people would be leaving soon...
Nose to the ground, he hugged against the side of the building and slid around the corner to the back. He scanned the area, finding nothing more than dumpsters and medical waste bins. Alright, they said there would be a three legged cat... Now where is the mangy thing? At this point he was beginning to think it was all a ruse and he'd come back to the coves to Dizzybird and Valkyrie laughing at him for being so gullible. Though, the more he thought about it, the two of them weren't really the joking types. Judah sighed as he dipped his head down to let the sack slide off of him, the fish flopping to the pavement with a wet slap. "Ay, yo Timmy! You here, man?"
