In This Midnight Hour...
Just as Daire started to think that business with the humans was over, they strike again - only this time, with a force not to be reckoned with! They bring cars and guns, no more of that amateur bats, knives, and fluffy clothes shit. It’s distinct that this time, these guys are not playing around.
And as they rain hellfire down on the strays, the dogs quickly learn the wrath of the humans, their corrupt system, and the true meaning of a turf war. There’s no way to fight this enemy. Any dog that tried, died quickly. Teeth and claws are no match for a weapon so successful as a gun. As the bullets rang out, whizzing past, hitting flesh, killing instantly, ricocheting off the metal of the cars all around them, dogs began to scatter, racing against fate for their lives. Some dove underneath the cars, only to realize being trapped was a bad idea; some ran for the hills, using the large cut open hole in the fence at the back of the scrapyard as their escape, and some, too slow to run fast enough or too stupid to give up the fight, died.
The dogs with the will to live scattered like cockroaches, splitting off into many small groups around Richardson, Sparrow, and even the City, becoming an even bigger problem for the Dodgers. There, they tried to bunker down until the smoke cleared, but even then, they realized just how hard it was to feed themselves, to keep themselves warm, and to find safety when it was such a small group. There was no more stockpiling, no more family meals. Every dog was for themselves. And Daire was nowhere to be found.
Questions accumulate, gang pride falters, and orphaned Yardies try to make a place for themselves as they question what really happened to their Boss, Vice, and other gangmates. Had they died? Had they abandoned the gang? Were they hiding? Were they taken? All viable questions that needed viable answers.
Just Some Things to Note...
Ooof! Well, that was unexpected - or was it?? We hope that this is as exciting for you guys as it is for us
A Note on Survival
Without a gang, the split off Yardies won’t have to bring back food to stockpile - which means a huge difference to the way they’ve been living! We expect this may be a shock to some characters caught up in their ways or perhaps an enjoyable setback to some
Your group is free to make their own choices in how they plan to survive without the others. If your characters come into agreement that they still want to stockpile their food, they can, but just remember there won’t be a safe place to stash it and it may just get stolen right from under their noses! Without the security of their gang or a homebase, they won’t have the safety they once had!
A hierarchy in your small group may not be so easily established, either!
The Split-Off Groups are the small groups in which your characters will eventually make once they run from the Scrapyard and begin to settle down as the moon rises higher in the sky and the chaos settles down from the hours before. These groups consist of a maximum of four random dogs.
We’ve chosen the groups below with potential interest, conflict, and character development in mind - however, if you absolutely hate the group your character has been put into or think it totally impossible for them to have followed those dogs out of the Scrapyard in the first place, you may request to have your dog switched to another one, but if the group you want to be switched into already has four dogs, you must get permission from another roleplayer to switch spots with them!
We ask that you consider how juicy it might be for your character to go through some conflict and how the experience may enhance them in the future! Plus, it’s always fun getting your character into new situations, no?
Characters are listed in no particular order. As mentioned above, hierarchies within these groups will have to be established by in-character roleplay C:< The area in parenthesis underneath the group is the area in which your characters are assumed to have found some makeshift shelter to settle down in temporarily!

If you're thinking of or have recently made a new Yardie, please note on some procedural changes during this plot event:
For those making new Yardies who are assumed to have been in the gang before this event happened, nudge me (or reply here) to add your character to one of the groups listed.
If you're planning on making a Yardie that joins the gang in-character, you may have to have them either meet up with Daire or Ramesses to officially join the gang, otherwise they can tag along with one of the groups (up to them if they allow your character to do that though!) until the Yardies find each other again. Only then will they be judged and officially accepted into the gang.
For any questions, please reach out and ask!
