Chapter 5: As Dark Clouds Gather
This is the fifth chapter of our sitewide plot! To move on, we need the available threads to be signed up for and completed by our members!
You’ll notice that there’s significantly less sign-ups and more open prompts. Hopefully this will help all of you feel more comfortable participating in our plot threads without the strict posting window looming over your heads. We're giving you the reigns to drive your own plot thread! Additionally, you can remix the prompts provided, but please don’t plot out any major, large-scale changes without asking staff first!
The few threads throughout that still require sign-ups still use the posting window, so the reminders below apply to those!
Each gang has its own thread sign-ups page -- go to your character's corresponding gang page to sign up for a plot thread or nab an open prompt! If it's a shared plot point between two gangs, you might be directed to a different page to ensure there's no conflict or overlapping sign-ups! For any questions, please direct them to the #help channel on our Discord or reach out to staff!
A Few Important Reminders...
- Sitewide Plot threads (ones you had to sign up for) should be prioritized! The quicker these move along, the quicker we can move the plot along!
- You are allowed to sign up for multiple threads with multiple characters, but please ensure the events in this timeline don't clash with your characters' timelines!
- All replies in the second posting round will be subject to our limited posting window. Each person will have 5 days to reply before they can be skipped!
- If you're a thread leader, it's your responsibility to start the thread and keep it going! Don't let it get stuck on one person for two weeks; remember the limited posting window! Don't be afraid to tag people in the #tag-ur-it channel to remind them to post!
- Threads that are the direct result of another will go in chronological order with the next thread only being created after the other is nearly completed.
- Please make sure to mark plot threads with the new "P!" tag so we all know it's a sitewide plot thread!
To sign up for a thread, please check that it has a "Participants" section listed beneath it. If it does, it's a thread you can sign up for! Please fill out the form below for each thread you'd like to sign up for.
Thread Date:
Short Description of Thread: (applicable only if there's multiple threads on the same date, let us know which thread you're signing up for!)

Please wait until a Staff Member gives you the OK to start a plot thread!
APR 01: Still ticked off at the audacity of the Dodgers, Daire continues to urge her dogs to harass them in whatever way they please, while also stealing, collecting resources, and growing the Yardie empire.
What’s Daire’s end goal? No one is quite sure, but all Yardies know not to cross Daire. Do what she says, have a blast, and get rewarded in the end... probably.
OPEN PROMPT: Have a thread where your character harasses a dog from another gang (with special attention on the Dodgers). It could be for food, resources, information, or just because they felt like it. It’s time to show the world that the Yardies are something to be feared and respected!
OPEN PROMPT: Tasked with a special mission, have a thread with your character spying on either the Crabs or the Saints. Are they collecting intel? Maybe trying to make friends to manipulate into giving them information? Perhaps your character is just the type to find a good hiding place and sit... whatever they do, collect some useful information on these other gangs!
APR 20: A small Yardie patrol is uncharacteristically attacked during the day! The three dogs return home battered, bloodied, and bruised... some of them are so hurt that they need immediate care from the Healers! It only takes one word from the patrol for the message to be clear: Dodgers.
APR 22: One of the injured patrol dogs dies in the night! This sets off a bomb in Daire’s mind... an eye for an eye?
OPEN PROMPT (APR 23 - 26): You notice your Boss spending more time in the City than usual. She hasn’t told you anything, but you think it’d be best if you kept the heat off her tail. Have a thread where your character distracts a Dodger in some way... either by harassing them, being kind to them (wow, shocker), leading them on a fool’s errand, or otherwise!
APR 27: Daire has been gone for two days straight, leaving Stryker in charge of the gang. What’s she up to?
OPEN PROMPT (APR 26 - 27): Where has the Boss gone? Maybe your character is suspicious and tries to follow her tracks! What’s going on? What’s not being shared with the public?
APR 28: Finally, after stalking her prey for days, Daire corners Chase in the city and deals him the cards she’s been saving for him. Leaving his body desecrated and alone in an alleyway, similar to how her dogs left Hydra’s body, she’s hoping it won’t take the Dodgers long to find their amatuer Boss!
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I have threads based off the events happening this chapter?
A: Absolutely! These are what we call "spin-off threads"! In fact, with so many big events going on in this chapter, we recommend that you do! We'd still love for players to engage in the plot events even if they didn't sign any of their characters up for any of the plot threads!
Q: Can I sign up for multiple plot threads?
A: As long as you can post regularly to them, yes! And don't worry about being a thread hog! We usually are short on sign-ups, rather than threads!
Q: My thread partner hasn't posted in the 5-day window. Can I skip them? Will they be annoyed with me?
A: Yes, you can skip them! We encourage you to skip them to keep the thread going. Don't worry about them being annoyed with you - they shouldn't be! They signed up for the thread knowing the posting window and what happens when they can't make a post within that time frame.
We're so glad that everyone here is so polite! If you're very concerned with angering someone, you can always shoot them a PM or a DM, some reminder that they're nearing the end of the posting window and ask whether they're able or planning to post. Chances are, you'll get the greenlight to skip them or you'll get a confirmation that they'll send in a post within the next day or so.
However, if someone has mentioned that they will post, but hasn't and it's been a week or more, you've got the greenlight from us to post to keep your thread going. Your thread partner can pick up where they left off in the next posting round!
