Chapter 5: As Dark Clouds Gather
This is the fifth chapter of our sitewide plot! To move on, we need the available threads to be signed up for and completed by our members!
You’ll notice that there’s significantly less sign-ups and more open prompts. Hopefully this will help all of you feel more comfortable participating in our plot threads without the strict posting window looming over your heads. We're giving you the reigns to drive your own plot thread! Additionally, you can remix the prompts provided, but please don’t plot out any major, large-scale changes without asking staff first!
The few threads throughout that still require sign-ups still use the posting window, so the reminders below apply to those!
Each gang has its own thread sign-ups page -- go to your character's corresponding gang page to sign up for a plot thread or nab an open prompt! If it's a shared plot point between two gangs, you might be directed to a different page to ensure there's no conflict or overlapping sign-ups! For any questions, please direct them to the #help channel on our Discord or reach out to staff!
A Few Important Reminders...
- Sitewide Plot threads (ones you had to sign up for) should be prioritized! The quicker these move along, the quicker we can move the plot along!
- You are allowed to sign up for multiple threads with multiple characters, but please ensure the events in this timeline don't clash with your characters' timelines!
- All replies in the second posting round will be subject to our limited posting window. Each person will have 5 days to reply before they can be skipped!
- If you're a thread leader, it's your responsibility to start the thread and keep it going! Don't let it get stuck on one person for two weeks; remember the limited posting window! Don't be afraid to tag people in the #tag-ur-it channel to remind them to post!
- Threads that are the direct result of another will go in chronological order with the next thread only being created after the other is nearly completed.
- Please make sure to mark plot threads with the new "P!" tag so we all know it's a sitewide plot thread!
To sign up for a thread, please check that it has a "Participants" section listed beneath it. If it does, it's a thread you can sign up for! Please fill out the form below for each thread you'd like to sign up for.
Thread Date:
Short Description of Thread: (applicable only if there's multiple threads on the same date, let us know which thread you're signing up for!)

Please wait until a Staff Member gives you the OK to start a plot thread!
APR 01: The devastating fire that burned down the Saints' warehouse has left the savage dogs without a home. Not only is wandering the streets of Blood Village without a secure place to lay down their heads dangerous, but the dogfighters are still on the prowl, only temporarily dismayed by their injuries from the fire. Homeless and injured, the Saints' aren't down for the count just yet. It seems Karma still has plans in the making...
APR 02: Tired, hungry, and injured, Karma leads her wary gang to an 'old friend' of theirs: the Crabs. The gang shows up on the Crabs' beach uninvited and with the hefty demand of shelter during their time of crises. However, there's a glow of confidence in the Boss' eyes. It's time that their ally repays a debt.
- PARTICIPANTS: Open (no sign-up required)
OPEN PROMPT: Have your character interact with the locals! Get to know the Crabs a bit more! Maybe learn how to fish or swim, maybe teach them a fighting move or two. What does your character think about them or their situation? Do they trust in their Boss' judgement or are they bitter from their loss of a home?
OPEN PROMPT: As sweet as it is crashing with the Crabs, finding a new home is a top priority. Karma has ordered everyone to search Blood Village, while still being wary of the prowling dogfighters, for a new home. Have your character go out there and search! Pass or fail, explore your new options! Maybe it's infested with rats or is too unstable? Maybe you think you found the perfect place, but there are too many humans?
OPEN PROMPT (APR 20 - 29): For some odd reason, Karma’s had a keen interest in Richardson ever since Zhiva and Crime returned from their patrol there. She’s ordered those, that aren’t out searching for a new home, to scout out Richardson’s borders and ensure its vacancy. She was specific about this detail: don't let the Crabs find out! Have a thread where your character snoops around Richardson's borders or even dares to trespass for an even closer look! Be on the lookout for Yardies, though!
APR 30: A Saints patrol returns to the beach covered in blood - but not of their own. The scent on them is Yardies, and from what they’re wearing, seems like means to a conflict that the Crabs aren’t asking for. A group of Crabs confront the bloodied Saints about the apparent massacre.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I have threads based off the events happening this chapter?
A: Absolutely! These are what we call "spin-off threads"! In fact, with so many big events going on in this chapter, we recommend that you do! We'd still love for players to engage in the plot events even if they didn't sign any of their characters up for any of the plot threads!
Q: Can I sign up for multiple plot threads?
A: As long as you can post regularly to them, yes! And don't worry about being a thread hog! We usually are short on sign-ups, rather than threads!
Q: My thread partner hasn't posted in the 5-day window. Can I skip them? Will they be annoyed with me?
A: Yes, you can skip them! We encourage you to skip them to keep the thread going. Don't worry about them being annoyed with you - they shouldn't be! They signed up for the thread knowing the posting window and what happens when they can't make a post within that time frame.
We're so glad that everyone here is so polite! If you're very concerned with angering someone, you can always shoot them a PM or a DM, some reminder that they're nearing the end of the posting window and ask whether they're able or planning to post. Chances are, you'll get the greenlight to skip them or you'll get a confirmation that they'll send in a post within the next day or so.
However, if someone has mentioned that they will post, but hasn't and it's been a week or more, you've got the greenlight from us to post to keep your thread going. Your thread partner can pick up where they left off in the next posting round!
