Syracuse was able to focus on her words, treading water with more regularity but still the burning sensation in her shoulder persisted. Luckily the treat of Valkyrie's origin story was such a curiosity satiated so that it made it a little easier for the wraith to ignore her pain. It was shocking, that THEE Valkyrie had caused her family shame. She was such a figure, such a pillar of quiet strength and upstanding moral code that it made it hard to envision her with flaws. Though Syracuse didn't quite understand why her actions would have brought her shame; protecting, doing her job, securing the two-leggers...what more did they want from her?
"Humans always seem like something to escape. at least to me. But it seems you had the luck of enjoying their company for a short while." Syracuse said cheerfully, despite her misgivings and solidified dislike of the noisy humanoids, she did know of some that had treated a few of her counterparts with dignity. Syracuse's jaws gaped slightly at the thought of the quick witted Valk making a mistake such as drinking sea water, it just didn't seem fathomable. Wasn't she a well of knowledge on what not to do and so on?
She chuckled gently, "For some reason, I'm having a hard enough time tryna see the regal Valkyrie...drinking sea water... just doesn't fit your image." She teased gently, Syracuse was often time a bewildering creature to be around but she had her charms. "The Eyes are lucky to have a dog like you...can I ask another question, its keeping thought off of swimming.." She bit her tongue for a moment, hoping her query would not border crossing a line with her Lieutenant. "Why did the gang name change to the Eyes..? She asked genuinely, not hint of malice or disdain laced her words, just plain curiosity. "What's in store for us..?"
