about us This is Komorrah, a city full of corruption, poverty, and crime. While there's good and bad in every city, this one has dogs. A lot of stray dogs.
Set in a modern-day, fictionalized version of New York City, Komorrah has much to offer our gang dogs. Strays on the street feed from human negligence and thrive on the loopholes they can fit their snouts in. It's every dog for themselves
out there, though living with and having the support of a gang is helpful.
Tensions rise, enemies are made, but perhaps alliances are arranged. Only the strong survive this harsh hand the strays have been dealt. What will be your choice in Infidelis?
featured adoptable DUCHESS • APP With a name like this, its no wonder that Duchess is the living emobident of 'regal'. Incredibly smart with a certain charm that others can't resist, don't let her honey-sweet smile and patience fool you. This ambitious, manipulative girl has her eyes set on greatness.
Nestled in the heart of Komorrah itself is the city. Honking horns, a constant flow of people, and an ebbing murmur of sounds gives the city both its appeal and chaos. The city expansive and wild; it's crowded and perfect for someone who just wants to blend in. It's here, in the gullet of Kessir, where the Dodgers call their home; you'll find their dens in the Labyrinth.

Little Kiryat was a mixed bag. One never knew what they were going to find, but one would always find something. That was a guarantee. It was a pretty decent playground for the resourcing dogs of the Dodgers. There were plenty of opportunities to snatch something out from underneath the noses of the humans, as long as the guts and courage to do so were there. When it came to hunting food that was already dead and processed, Little Kiryat was Void's favorite place to hunt. The chance of returning to the gang with a bountiful catch was higher there than in other places and, in most cases, the bounty was rather tasty, if not a bit unique. That was why Void currently found himself weaving his way through the sidewalks of the hopping joint. During the day, the location wasn't as busy due to the humans working and all, but it was about lunchtime for the two-leggeds, which meant that most people were on their way to the places that would provide them with that lunch. They were so focused on getting to their meals that they barely noticed the bulky beast moving within their midst.
Void had yet to find anything worth snatching, but it seemed like that was going to change very soon. As he turned a corner, the delicious smell of cooking food practically smacked him in the face. Even his nose couldn't miss it. His cropped ears perked and he paused to take in a deep breath. Oh, yes, those aromas were very promising... and not too far off. Quickly, Void trotted in the direction of the scent, having no issues following it since it was quite strong. To his left was a rather ornate fence, protecting a gorgeous garden from the outside world. The pretty place was quite large and a team of humans were scurrying around, setting up tables for some reason. Towards the back of the garden, opposite of the building it belonged to, was a white tent. That was where the smells were coming from. Following the fence, the bully trotted down to the back of the garden and, from outside of the fence, gazed in at the tent. Humans in white coats, one wearing a funny hat, were scurrying around even more than the humans setting up tables. Some flipped food in pans while others stirred food in pots. One barked orders in an accent unfamiliar to Void's ears.
The sight was basically controlled chaos. A deterrent to most dogs. Void was not most dogs. The gears in his head were turning as his yellow gaze followed the humans and honed in on several areas where foods of all kinds were exposed. If he could just sneak in there somehow, he could surely make away with something tasty while the humans were preoccupied. Meats, vegetables, and fancy looking foods he couldn't identify all called to him. His tail slowly wagged as he dragged his tongue across his lips. He found the jackpot... now he just had to win it. Think, Void... he urged himself. A course of action, a plan was definitely necessary to be successful. He was just one dog, after all...
"Speaking"; Tags: [n/a] ; Notes: Partially an idea of my own and partially based on this prompt - "It's noon and you smell something very tempting." Open to one Dodger who wants to help Void swipe some stuff from the portable kitchen set up in the future site of a garden party!
Beowulf walked through the humans rather lazily, it was a bad time for this for sure but for some reason around now they barely paid him any attention. Which was rather funny because of his size, kids though sometimes he'd walk by them with their sticky grabby fingers, and they'd yell doggy. He hated that but would just quickly slink away. Yawning he wandered around the sidewalks looking for a quick bite or a snack. Stomach grumbling and aching, he frowned well this was perfect wasn't it. He wondered how he would go with finding a meal for himself, it was worth a shot. He was pretty good at stuff ..uhhh well he was hoping for times a charm. Well there was always two more charms in the saying right!!!
That was when he picked up the scent of another Dodger, it was a bit faint now. He'd most likely moved on from this area by now but it still left the shepherd mix curious, and he decided against better judgement to go and follow it.
After a while of people weaving and side street striding he saw that large went and strange tent. Oh, boy that smell hit his nose, and he felt the saliva start to pool his mouth, he gulped and refocused on what was going on even though his stomach was basically having a full on conversation with him now. Perhaps this would help those conversations jitters.
"Planning a heist? Perhaps I could be of some assistance there" Beowulf spoke softly, like a whisper as he strode over towards Void. It was like his paws never hit the ground he was so quiet. "Greetings, I am Beowulf" He tried a small smile but it may have looked awkward. He was not very good with other canines. Or trust.. Or well you get the idea, but he was trying to learn and trying to come out of his shell. It was just a lot harder than he figured it was going to be.
Void watched as the white clothed humans bustled around their workshop. Orders were barked, orders were followed, and delicious scents wafted from the results of their labor. It was an interesting, if not strange thing to watch. In any other case, he might've been content to just stay crouched there, observing. However, there was work to be done, food to steal for the gang. He wasn't watching to satisfy his curiosity, he was watching to try to figure out their patterns, if they operated that way. If there was a pattern, a method to their madness, he could form a much more sure fire plan. What he noticed was that certain humans stayed to certain areas of the kitchen. There were times where their backs didn't turn for a little while, but while one was focused on their work, another moved around, leaving little time to sneak about unnoticed. It was going to be a very difficult job for just one dog.
Then, as if he caught lightning in a bottle, Void heard a voice. A quiet, almost whispering voice. He had been so focused on the humans that he hadn't noticed the encroaching smell of a fellow Dodger. The dog was walking so softly that he had no chance of hearing the pawsteps when he was so focused on studying the scene. Hell, he might not've noticed them even if he wasn't so focused on something else. Glancing to his side to catch a look of the dog, he recognized him as the notorious Beowulf, a dog who had the bad luck of being slapped with the horrendous reputation of his father. He offered his help with the heist the bully was planning and introduced himself after that. All with an awkward smile that felt all too familiar to Void. He often wore that same awkward smile when trying to be friendly. Smiling was... a weird thing for a dog like him to do and he assumed it was the same for the dog called Beowulf. "To be completely honest..." he glanced back at the kitchen,"... your assistance would be a pretty big help... Beowulf." He found himself studying the humans for a good solid minute without saying a word, but then he realized how awkward that probably was for Beo... and that he hadn't introduced himself, either. Shifting awkwardly, he looked back at Beo and stammered somewhat quietly,"Oh, uh... I'm... Void..."
Beowulf watched Void for a moment, just listening, and he saw a few traits that were similar. Things felt different already. Like both of them really had no idea how to interact probably, he could have been wrong but still if he was not. Well Beo didn't feel as bad about being.. Well probably the worst dog around to strike up a conversation with. He did try, oh boy did he try but it was not easy. Made less easy when no one really wanted anything to do with. So of course when Void didn't shy away, throw him a snarl or a glare .. Or anything of the sorts. Instantly that made him feel a bit better.
Void had accepted his offer in assisting, that made Beowulf feel rather useful and needed for once. He felt he just hung around the sandlot, sometimes getting to scare off random loners or educate them about how this was Dodger territory etc etc Blah blah. Oh, wait he should probably answer now. "What would you require of me? Distraction perhaps?" He tried putting forth the start of an idea, he didn't care if Void turned it down in place of one he'd been thinking up as he watched the humans.
Beowulf hadn't even noticed that moment of silence, it was normal, and he did not think a single thing of it. Soon Void spoke up and introduced himself, Beowulf dipped his head respectfully as to acknowledge he'd spoken. "You do seem different from most void, it's nice to meet you" Beowulf didn't really know a lot of the dogs or even their names, he had no clue who was well known or heck even labelled a danger like he was. Beowulf really just stuck towards his little area unless he was required and that was not very often. It was chance sometimes that they wanted anything to do with him. So this was a very welcome change. He was looking forward to helping out. After all he was not useless and his talents were going to waste.
He was rather strong, a larger dog than most, but he was also very silent. Most never heard him coming, it was rare that he failed to spook someone simply by walking up near them. They would often say they had no idea he was even there. That was a skill, he wasn't entirely sure what started this but it would work for him in the future. Ice blue eyes watched Void, most called his gaze cold and deadly or something like that but always cold like the ice blue colour they were but really .. He was not so harsh as other made him out to be. Beowulf wouldn't hurt anyone unless required of him and that would be in defence of his gang, despite how they treated him.

A distraction... yes, that was a pretty good idea. A pretty good idea that just might work. A dog barging into a group of working humans was a pretty damn good distraction for those humans. With how laser focused they were, he figured that a slight disturbance would wreck the flow of their work. If the flow of their work was wrecked, a skilled snack thief like Void would be able to sneak right on in and make off with something good. Or multiple good things depending on what he could grab. "A distraction... that's not a bad idea..." he mused quietly, eyes still trained on the scampering humans. Their patterns were obvious to the bully now. All they had to do was use those patterns to their advantage.
Void briefly glanced over at Beowulf. Then he nodded his head towards a specific area of the makeshift workplace and looked back at the humans. "They're most active around that little section there..." he pointed out. Food was being placed on the pristine counter. Food that other humans picked up to take elsewhere. Snagging food from there wouldn't be a good idea because of how it was arranged, but if the distraction was centered around that area, he could sneak in and grab something from elsewhere in the kitchen. If the distraction lasted long enough, he might be able to make a few trips. It all depended on how the humans reacted to Beo's distraction.
"That spot has the most traffic. If you can cause a ruckus there, I can sneak in and grab something from another spot unnoticed," Void explained, eyes locking in on potential areas to hit. With his gaze still diligently scanning the kitchen for targets, he spoke again,"Sound like a plan to you?" It was a good plan to the hunter, but he couldn't move forward without the other dog's approval. Beo was just as big a part of the mission as Void was. If anything, Void had the easy part of the job. Beo definitely had to agree to the plan before they could move forward with it.

He was listening but now he was figuring out just how his distraction would play out. He had a few ideas, perhaps ones that would leave a lot of time for Void to grab a very pleasing amount from which ever areas he had his sights upon. Right this would be a walk in the park. This confidence was still something new to him, and he liked too far too much that it even over shadowed that dreadful thing called mistrust. Right now, he had faith in himself, and he trusted Void to a degree he just never would have before. He felt like, well he was changing and for the better. Perhaps his gang might see that, but he somewhat doubted that.
"That sounds like a good plan, and I have various plans in place as well" Meaning he had a lot of distractions and Void should be ready to be able to grab a good steal from the humans. After a few moments Beowulf made sure Void looked ready, and he strolled over to the counter where the humans were, they of course took an instant notice of him. I mean it was hard not to, he was still a rather large dog. They were rather hyper focused on him now.
Lots of humans unsure what to do about the dog, some humans behind the counter going on about the dirty dog and to remove him. Beowulf frowned slightly at that and put his two hulking paws onto the counter, heck he even knocked that stupid bell over. The humans kept ringing it and when they did another human quickly responded. Beowulf copied and pressed the bell as it was closer, which surprisingly caused a few humans to burst out laughing. Soon the fun stopped though, and they were annoyed, plan b hopefully during all this Void was snatching up something good as Beowulf had basically all eyes on him now.
When he noticed some humans start to continue on and some try to shew him away, Beowulf had to be less cute and more dramatic now. He shook out his coat which now looked even more scruffy. He got down low, barked and barked at the humans to grab their attention. This worked, and he even snatched one of the bags a man was holding, it was filled with goodies and the human was not happy about it being taken. Beowulf danced around the room with the human and the staff behind him, this was a huge risk, and they wouldn't have much time now. No doubt they'd call the humans with those large sticks, so the window was closing now but once he saw Void leave. Beowulf had planned to dash out the nearby door and just bolt for it, he'd met Void somewhere that wasn't close to here and of course once he ditched his new found followers. Beowulf waited, still managing to miss the hands going to grab him.
He decided to growl just slightly, so the hands would stop trying to grab him. One had even grabbed his tail, and he had to put a stop to that. Beowulf didn't like showing outward aggression it was .. Well too much like his dad. Beowulf hadn't drawn the line on what was acceptable and normal, and what was overboard. Of course, they stopped and grabbed a nearby cleaning broom. OH..shit.. Beowulf looked over towards where Void might be, not giving him away but hopefully he'd be able to ditch these humans now. Maybe if really needed he could make the staff chase him through the streets, that was only if Void needed more time. It could work.
"Speaking"; Tags: Void ; Notes: Yas very fancy, rich num nums! Now these are my favourite kinda Beo boi posts hehe
Beo said he had various plans in place. He didn't elaborate on those plans, but Void didn't ask him to, either. He decided to trust that the other black dog knew what he was doing. If he had several ideas in mind, he must have been planning on playing it as it went. That was really all he could do. They understood the humans' patterns, but the moment a wrench was thrown into them in the form of a dog, who knew what would happen. Both of them would have to be on their toes. If Beo had multiple plans in mind, he would be able to pick one once he seen what would work best. The bully gave his partner a firm nod. They were on the same page, they both agreed. Now all there was to do was put their plan into action. Beo wasted no time in doing just that.
Void paid close attention as Beo almost casually walked into the fray. The humans immediately noticed him. Oh, the ringing of that stupid bell... The hunter waited, wanting to make his move at the right moment. It was hard for even him to not laugh at the sight of Beo mimicking the humans back dinging the bell. After that, Void made his move. Carefully, he creeped forward, doing his best to keep out of the eyesight of the humans. There was an open sack flopped against the stainless steel leg of one of the counters towards the back. That was where he went first. He stuck his head in and gave a sniff. It smelled like dirt. There was a pile of round tannish brown things inside. Potatoes. They didn't seem appetizing, but apparently the humans liked them because the bag was almost used up. Only about a quarter of the tubers were left. The bag could come in handy...
To his left, Void noticed a rather delectable strand of sausages dangling over the side of another counter. There was the money. Walking over to it, he sunk his teeth into one of the links and pulled the whole thing down. It toppled down on top of him, landing conveniently over his neck. There was still a delicious scent of meat nearby. Glancing back over at Beo, who had started to bark, he put his paws up on top of the counter to discover a pile of lamb chops stacked on a tray. He pawed at it, pulling it closer and closer to the edge. However, he didn't bring it completely over first. Instead, he went back to the potato sack and tugged it over. Nudging the mouth of it open, he then knocked the tray down. The meat fell over the edge and, for the most part, landed in the sack. Quickly moving the other chops into the bag, he looked to see what Beowulf was up to.
Needless to say, it was time to leave. As quickly as he could, Void dragged the sack along, the sausages still dangling around his neck. He paused for but a moment on the way back to the fence... to knocked one of the finished plates into the sack. He desperately wanted to know what those fancy meals tasted like. Then, with one more glance to Beo, he dragged the loot over to the fence. It took quite a bit of effort, but he managed to get it through the prongs of the fence. Some of the contents fell out onto the sidewalk. One of the potatoes even rolled right into the road and became a mashed potato. All of that, minus the mashed potato, he pushed back into the sack after he was safely on the other side. Now all Beo had to do was get out of there...
"Speaking"; Tags: [Beowulf] ; Notes: Oh my gosh, I'm LIVING for Beo dinging that bell xD
And that was his cue to leave, with Void out of sights Beowulf was faced with other new challenges. Like the angry crowd and the broom. "Love to stay folks but I'm already late for my next show" He said as he ducked down avoiding the broom "I'm through all next week though" Beowulf had started to rush for the door. He of course was too big to weave in and out but the shepherd part of him really was a big help in making it easier. However he paused, stopping and turning to his right at a rather large back filled with someones order they must have been picking up. It was not far from him at all, and he could just grab it, go round the back of the counter and bolt down the middle of the crowd through the door.
"Screw it" Beowulf ran towards the small counter, he skidded in front of it and grabbed the bag's handles between his jaws. It wasn't plastic but some sort of wool maybe, it was soft but rather tough. He had gone to run but ended up getting a rather rude awakening in the form of a smack on the arse with the brush end of the broom. Beo winced, growling but still keeping a hold of the bag. Beo put it down on the ground, he tried to appear a lot bigger as he turned towards the humans looking crazed. Standing on his back paws he snarled and barked, looking like a rather rabid and wild dog. Of course half the humans worried and backed right off, some got even more angry but the broom dropped.
This was it, he snatched up the bag again and rounded the behind the corner. Beo turned the corner again and the door was before him, someone ran to close to it but thankfully he'd made it out in time but the door like the broom smacked him in the arse. Gosh he was not going to be able to sit down now for months. Now they'd shut themselves in at least and that would give him a massive head start.
Beowulf ran, and he ran, weaving as best as he was able to through people and down streets. It took him a few minutes but soon enough an alley or back path lead him towards Void. He could smell the other dog and followed his scent in order to find him. Soon enough he was walking up behind Void, bag in mouth still, and he saw Void had many prizes as well. He walked beside him and dropped the meat bag beside Void's potato bag. "Spotted it as I was making a run for it, seemed like it had a good haul and it was left unguarded" He was the security yeah he was rather proud of himself for grabbing up this prize for his gang. "I'd say a job well done, but we should perhaps vacate this area in case the humans come looking for me" Cos yeah they probably would be still interested in finding him, he was not sure but it was not worth finding out. He'd wait and see if Void had plans, but he felt it was right just to put that out there. Although he'd be happy to just collapse here and nap, his arse hurt and he was beat.
"Speaking"; Tags: Void ; Notes: Adorable to imagine hey lmao
Beowulf had caused quite the commotion in the garden's makeshift kitchen. More than enough to catch the attention of more problem humans. Void stood near the fence for a few moments, watching, thinking. Could he just leave Beowulf there to fend for himself? What else could he do, though? He had to make sure the supplies he got stayed in the possession of the Dodgers. Should he leave the sack full of meats and less useful spuds, he might return to find that it was no longer there. But was a bag of supplies worth more than a fellow gang member? Adding another dog to the mix might do more harm than good, though... Sighing, Void wrapped his jaws around the neck of the sack and started off down the sidewalk. Good luck, he thought genuinely.
Void followed the sidewalk for just two blocks. He didn't want to be spotted or have attention drawn to himself. He soon began to take side streets or alleyways, anything that took him away from the busy main streets. Once he was sure he was far enough away from the scene of the heist, he stopped, letting the bag fall from his mouth as he took a momentary break. What a rush that had been... it wasn't an enjoyable rush. That was a close one. That was a major deal. He could only hope that his gangmate made it out okay, too. Just as he thought about Beowulf, the furry black dog suddenly came up behind him.
The dog, who had no training as a resource dog, had quite the haul to show Void. A good bag of meat. A very good bag of meat. "That's a great haul," he praised, sounding pretty astonished at what the lookout was able to steal. He nudged the sack he swiped open, revealing the array of foods he brought. "The potatoes were... a package deal with the sack," he commented as one of them annoyingly rolled out. He had no intention of recovering it. They were useless as far as he was concerned and there was still a good amount of them in the bottom of the bag. He nodded, agreeing that they should get a move on again. "Agreed... we can pat ourselves on the back later," he said and, with a little huff, he took a hold of the sack once again. With a glance at his partner, he started down the alley.
"Speaking"; Tags: [Beowulf] ; Notes: That was such a great post, Ford! This one... not so much lol
Beowulf nodded agreeing "Yes we've done very well I'd say" Even he was surprised at his ability to do the job but hey could have been a stroke of luck. Hey could even just be that he was starting to feel somewhat better in himself, not a lot but it was something. He'd not deny himself in saying he liked the dog he was slowly becoming, still those trust issues were a pain, and he wondered if that was a given forever. That was not a pleasant thought, it was hard to trust himself or others with the way the rest of his gang treated him.
He watched as the potato rolled away, like it was trying to escape them and cry sweet freedom. Strange little thing it was and the smell, they smelt like dirt mostly and something with an odd sweet tone.
"Yeah my show was widely viewed, don't think I left with a happy audience" So leaving was very smart indeed, he was glad Void shared the same feelings. Beowulf really hadn't wished another run in with that crowd, they were a tough audience, distracted easily enough but very grumpy. It was also such a strange feeling working alongside another member of the Dodgers, he wasn't sure it had been possible for one to not care and ignore his black mark. It was refreshing, it made life that much easier. He followed alongside Void, he'd keep up and stick close. The bag of meat was held securely in his mouth, this was such a great steal. They'd both be bringing back a nice sizeable feast and that felt good.
