Chapter 6: The Edge of Dawn
This is the sixth chapter of our sitewide plot! To move on, we need the available threads to be signed up for and completed by our members!
Each gang has its own thread sign-ups page -- go to your character's corresponding gang page to sign up for a plot thread or nab an open prompt! If it's a shared plot point between two gangs, you might be directed to a different page to ensure there's no conflict or overlapping sign-ups! For any questions, please direct them to the #help channel on our Discord or reach out to staff!
A Few Important Reminders...
- Sitewide Plot threads (ones you had to sign up for) should be prioritized! The quicker these move along, the quicker we can move the plot along!
- You are allowed to sign up for multiple threads with multiple characters, but please ensure the events in this timeline don't clash with your characters' timelines!
- All replies in the second posting round will be subject to our limited posting window. Each person will have 5 days to reply before they can be skipped!
- If you're a thread leader, it's your responsibility to start the thread and keep it going! Don't let it get stuck on one person for two weeks; remember the limited posting window! Don't be afraid to tag people in the #tag-ur-it channel to remind them to post!
- Threads that are the direct result of another will go in chronological order with the next thread only being created after the other is nearly completed.
- Please make sure to mark plot threads with the new "P!" tag so we all know it's a sitewide plot thread! This does not apply to open prompt threads.
- Asterisk (*) indicates player is willing to start the thread
To sign up for a thread, please check that it has a "Participants" section listed beneath it. If it does, it's a thread you can sign up for! Please fill out the form below for each thread you'd like to sign up for.
Thread Date:
Short Description of Thread: (applicable only if there's multiple threads on the same date, let us know which thread you're signing up for!)
Characters Signing Up: (list the character(s) you wish to sign up for this thread)
Roles Being Fulfilled: (if applicable, fill in the role your character will be fulfilling)

Please wait until a Staff Member gives you the OK to start a plot thread!
With the Eyes’ most recent changes, Dizzybird hopes to lead the clan further into his spiritual vision this month. This begins with their first ritual, first sacrifice, and first feast, all in the name of Agwe! Many dogs, especially the ones stuck in their old ways, are skeptical of this; though many embrace the change and prepare to open their eyes to new tradition. There’s much to be done to prepare for such a large and important ceremony, and what is going to be sacrificed?!
Amidst all the preparation, a strange dog appears on the beach... and she smells a lot like Dizzybird?!
MAY 04: Due to their members' unruly behavior, Karma leads the Saints off the beach in search of their new home. This leaves many of the Eyes relieved that their houseguests have finally gone.
OPEN PROMPT: With the Saints gone, and things seemingly back to normal, there’s a ceremony to prep for! Dizzybird has tasked a few dogs to gather supplies for the ritual and feast. He’s asked them to steal chain choker collars from pets. The kind with the dog tags on them. Huh, that’s weird. Have a thread where your character robs a pet of their bling! Bring a friend for back-up, just in case.
MAY 08: Early in the morning, a strange dog is spotted on the Eyes’ beach as the dogs begin to leave the nest to do their jobs. She’s confronted, and she asks to speak with Dizzybird. She refuses to answer any of the questions other dogs have for her... and she refuses to leave. Who is this strange dog woman?
OPEN PROMPT: Have a thread where your character gathers some ritual materials! These items can be anything like paint, bones, feathers, rocks, teeth, sticks (or wood), or sharp objects that can cut, among anything else that might strike your character as useful! Bring a friend to bring back twice the haul! Rob a store, a human home, or procure the items yourself!
OPEN PROMPT: Have your character honor Agwe by giving him a gift! Visit his cave (the one with the well of water in the midst of it) and bring him an offering. Things he likes are mirrors, toy ships, oars, sea shells, turquoise jewelry, and fish-shaped things. Remember not to watch his gift sink in the well as it’s considered to be rude!
MAY 11: One of Agwe’s Eyes' Guests of Honor decide to help out by leading an instructional class for those interested in assisting with the ceremony ritual. She’s odd in ways that she’s covered in strange shapes and symbols with black paint... and her eyes are full of life... life that reflects back in a weird way. Still, as strange as she is, she seems like the perfect dog for the job.
- PARTICIPANTS: OPEN (no sign-up required)
MAY 16: Two Eyes are asked to find a prey animal in Komorrah and bring it back to the beach alive. They are asked to find something of quality with hooves - like a goat, sheep, or some other livestock animal. Something big enough for all dogs to eat from. Where are they going to find that in Komorrah? Well, it just so happens a livestock store opened up at the edge of Kessir. Can your character get in and out with an animal without being seen? Bring a lookout for the task!
- PARTICIPANTS: @gabriel (Thread Leader), Beast
OPEN PROMPT (May 16 - 17): The big day is edging nearer and for a feast the food stores are looking rather weak. Have a thread where your character teams up with their fellow Resourcing dogs to acquire food for the feast! While fresh meat is best for such an occasion, city dogs get what they can. There are plenty of animals in the surrounding area to hunt, though, including fish, small prey animals, fowl (not from the beach, though!), and suitable food items stolen from the surrounding city. Make sure your character stores their finds in the storage caves so it doesn’t spoil!
MAY 18: Finally, it has come! Today is the ceremony for Agwe! The ritual begins early in the afternoon, and the sacrifice and feast are scheduled for later that night when the moon is high in the sky and the tide is lapping at the coastal shores.
- RITUAL THREAD PARTICIPANTS: Dizzybird , @gabriel , Syracuse , Honeybee
- SACRIFICE THREAD PARTICIPANTS: OPEN (no sign-up required)
OPEN PROMPT (May 18): Have a thread where your character breaks away from the festivities and spends the night with a close friend or perhaps a crush dancing or basking in the moonlight!
MAY 21: Dizzybird invites two dogs to come and spirit-walk with him. Before him, he has a bowl of mushrooms, picked from the forest recently. Beside the bowl, there are two blankets spread out on the cave floor, one for each of the dogs who will be walking with the spirits. He explains that it’s better to have a burning, unanswered question to ask the spirits in their realm. Once this question is chosen, the walk can begin.
OPEN PROMPT: The oceans are calling, will you answer? Post a one-shot where your character spends one night at the edge of Pharos Island listening to the crashing waves and reflecting, meditating, and thinking about all that they have accomplished thus far. Such dedication will appease Agwe and put your character in his good graces!
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I have threads based off the events happening this chapter?
A: Absolutely! These are what we call "spin-off threads"! In fact, with so many big events going on in this chapter, we recommend that you do! We'd still love for players to engage in the plot events even if they didn't sign any of their characters up for any of the plot threads!
Q: Can I sign up for multiple plot threads?
A: As long as you can post regularly to them, yes! And don't worry about being a thread hog! We usually are short on sign-ups, rather than threads!
Q: My thread partner hasn't posted in the 5-day window. Can I skip them? Will they be annoyed with me?
A: Yes, you can skip them! We encourage you to skip them to keep the thread going. Don't worry about them being annoyed with you - they shouldn't be! They signed up for the thread knowing the posting window and what happens when they can't make a post within that time frame.
We're so glad that everyone here is so polite! If you're very concerned with angering someone, you can always shoot them a PM or a DM, some reminder that they're nearing the end of the posting window and ask whether they're able or planning to post. Chances are, you'll get the greenlight to skip them or you'll get a confirmation that they'll send in a post within the next day or so.
However, if someone has mentioned that they will post, but hasn't and it's been a week or more, you've got the greenlight from us to post to keep your thread going. Your thread partner can pick up where they left off in the next posting round!
