Within one of the rooms of the abandoned building that had become the Dodgers' refuge, Cooper took a seat on top of a wooden box he'd found. His tail wagged eagerly behind him. Oh, this was exciting! His first official singing lesson with a Dodger! With any dog for that matter. Even with the gloomy cloud hanging over them, his excitement managed to break through like the first hopeful rays of sun after a thunderstorm. He was finally getting the chance to teach somebody how to sing in an official, planned setting! Oh, ho, he just couldn't wait! There were so many things he could tell his pupil, so many songs for her to learn, so many melodies for her voice to take to new heights! Perhaps he was getting ahead of himself. Actually, he was definitely getting ahead of himself. His pupil, Fallon, had to start at the very basics, just like all beginners had to. Melodies and songs and all of that would come later if it was something that she took to. For now... the basics.
Clearing his throat grandiosely, Cooper grinned at his student. "You're about to start your musical journey, Fallon!" he said eagerl,"Are you excited?" It was clear that her teacher was excited. He shifted on his box, gave her a quick look over. "Before we get to the teachin' and learnin', how about you sing something for me so I get an idea of what you bring to the stage? It doesn't matter what, any jam that comes to mind'll do," he told her. Knowing what he was working with was important. He could decide what way to take the lesson, what to work on with her, all of that stuff in a more effective way if he actually knew what her voice was capable of. He'd been told some details when they arranged the lesson, but he had yet to actually hear her.
notes Hope this is okay! If the date, time, or any of the details don't work, I can change them!
