about us This is Komorrah, a city full of people, corruption, and crime. While there's good and bad in every city, this one has dogs. A lot of stray dogs.
Set in a modern-day, fictionalized version of New York City, Komorrah has much to offer our gang dogs. Strays on the street feed from human negligence and thrive on the loopholes they can fit their snouts in. It's every dog for themselves
out there, though living with and having the support of a gang is helpful.
Tensions rise, enemies are made, but perhaps alliances are arranged. Only the strong survive this harsh hand the strays have been dealt. What will be your choice in Infidelis?
featured adoptable TIBERIUS • APP Once, he was a legend. His name would bring fear to any dog's eyes. But, his thirst for absolute power has reduced this 'once king' into nothing but a angry, bitter shell of his former self. However, Tiberius is convinced that, one day, he'll get his rightful revenge...
Nestled in the heart of Komorrah itself is the city. Honking horns, a constant flow of people, and an ebbing murmur of sounds gives the city both its appeal and chaos. The city expansive and wild; it's crowded and perfect for someone who just wants to blend in. It's here, in the gullet of Kessir, where the Dodgers call their home; you'll find their dens in the Labyrinth.

Tala's long coat glistened under the moonlight as she walked down the beach, flecks of sand all over her large paws. A warm breeze ruffled her fur, and a smile spread across her face. Taking walks along the beach at night was her new favorite thing. It was peaceful here, listening to the waves and the sounds of the gulls. She turned her head to look at her ring-billed gull as she heard the flapping of his wings.
The bird had a somewhat strong bond with her already. He followed her everywhere, and she was beginning to understand their language. His name was Aither, meaning "spirit of the air." She smiled warmly at her bird. She had yet to train him basic commands, which she planned to do soon enough. For now, she would enjoy the walk on the beach with Aither.
A noise behind her caught her attention. Turning around, her dark amber gaze fell on a figure. She couldn't tell who it was. "Hello," she called out, sounding friendly. Aither squawked suspiciously, and Tala waited for the other creature to come slightly closer. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This place was had been fun to explore and travel, gosh it felt like forever since she docked and had been through quite a bit already. Stretching, she yawned and looked towards where she heard the ocean roar. "How about tay nice walk on the sand?" She asked Ikaros, who ruffled up his feathers and sung with glee. So that meant yes, and she was off, trotting along the empty streets and heading towards the beach. "Its always nicer this time of the night" Mithios smiled to herself, it was fresh and clean, also no one generally to bother her about a job or anything.
Ikaros flew high in the sky, to any who were out that night he would have been a proud sight. A large sight as well considering he was a golden eagle. He seemed happy with himself, showing off but also keeping a very close watch on her. Ikaros was never too far behind, always ready to defend and keep his friend safe. Misthios glanced up for a moment and smiled with a light laugh "Show off" She teasingly said.
Soon enough they were both close to the beach, she could hear the waves and smell the sea. It had been a while since she just sat on the beach and relaxed. Misthios though wasn't still fully aware of all the gangs and such, really only knowing more of the ones that called themselves Agwe's Eyes.
"Look Ikaros, it seems Poseidon smiles down on us tonight" Blessed with such calm looking seas and beautiful song of the waves. As she neared closer towards the sands though, something caught her attention and not long after a hello rang through the night air. Whoops clearly she hadn't been careful enough.
"Chaire stranger" Misthios smiled as she walked out from the lot of bushes that were around. "Sorry did not mean to startle you" Misthios was relaxed but still cautious, that was her nature though but still despite the large dog before her. She wasn't anxious or fearful. Ikaros song could be heard from above as he flew down and settled beside Misthios. He looked between the two and stood protectively. "This is Ikaros" Misthios gestured towards the large golden eagle beside her "And I am Misthios" The Eagle Bearer.
He was returning from Pharos Islet, walking along craggy rocks with paws still not toughened enough for such a task, he had basked in the serenity of the breezy waves and salty sea spray, taking it all in and felt ... well he thought he felt something. How could he even be sure? What he did feel was peace and tranquility, which was quite nice and refreshing.
Leaving the islet and its lighthouse behind he had traversed by moonlight back to the safety of Agwe's shores and relished in the coolness of the water washing over his sore paws. There sat a dog along the beach and he thought he recognized her, that Malamute looking female. She probably wasn't a Mal but Jack couldn't be sure, didn't matter, an Eye was an Eye. Before he could get close enough to say anything of meaning, she was distracted by something in the beach grass and along came a slinky and sly looking creature of the night that was soon joined by a bird big enough to eat it. Jack's hackles raised, a prickling along his spine as he drew nearer, head lowered in uncertainty as ears strained for conversation. It would seem as though all was well, actually. Ah, the Eyes, always the inviting sort, if they weren't a threat, why worry?
"Nooo fuckin' waaay." the Akita mused as he realized what he had stumbled upon, "It's a little fox, you're really cool lookin.'" she was red, but not red, a sable black mixed into her coat, "I don't think I've ever been this close to an eagle before either," he drew alongside his gangmate, still marveling at the view with his neck stretched toward the duo, nose quivering curiously, "They're a lot bigger up close." he wondered what sort of truce these two had arranged so that the eagle wouldn't just eat the fox, something it probably considered a part of its natural diet. He turned to Tala, not seeming to realize the fox could understand or speak to him, "What brings ya? Just out for a stroll?" Jack, Jack,Emmett's energy couldn't be contained, even at night. He was still bounding along the shoreline despite the sun having gone down, looking for one last human he could pester or a crab he could spar with. His bird was nestled in his ruff, feet tangled in the thick fur around his neck so she wouldn't be dislodged with his flailing about but also could get some rest from having followed him around all day.
Naturally, when he saw a gathering further down on the beach, he was quick to prance over, flopping down into a play bow as he looked excitedly between the three of them. "What's up guys?" he asked, butt wriggling in the air as his tail flopped from side to side. His bird, opening her eyes briefly to see what had caught his attention, huddled lower in his fur silently as she caught sight of the eagle. Now that was a bird she didn't want to mess with! Maybe it wouldn't see her...
Emmett's gaze stuck upon the fox more often than not, not because he hadn't seen one before but because he hadn't seen one that pretty before. The red coloration in her fur seemed to glow under the moonlight, making it look like she was on fire. Honestly, it was utterly fascinating to him.
Two more dogs had gathered, both from her gang. She recognized Jack, but not the red husky that trotted up.
She looked at the vixen first. "Hello, Misthio. I am Tala." She looked at the eagle. "And hello, Ikaros."
She gave the two new arrivals a friendly smile, her dark amber eyes glowing in the dark. "How do you do, Jack?" she greeted him. Tala turned toward the husky. "I don't believe we've met," she addressed him, her tone friendly, "my name is Tala."
Now she spoke to the whole group as she asked, "How are all of you doing tonight?"
The moonlight made her beautiful brown-black coat glisten as her amber gaze scanned the gathered dogs, and the vixen with her eagle. Tala waited for their responses. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
More dogs started to appear, interesting, they all had a strong scent of the sea. She'd figure it out soon, or they'd probably end up telling her hopefully. One large fluffy looking dog with a curled tail took interest and threw some nice praise her way, comments on her coat and such, hey maybe even a nickname already? Little fox although it was probably just a statement on size difference. To him she was rather small. Before she could speak up and answer for the moment, Tala spoke up, and she smiled towards her. Ikaros seemed happy as well he let out a song of greeting to the dogs, all these other birds around and Misthios was even happy about that as well. So many others with birds, it was pretty neat.
"Thank you, Jack, lovely of you to say" Misthios smirked slightly at the comments about her fur and looking cool, yeah she wasn't half bad for a fox. She wasn't like the other foxes all boring and unoriginal, she blended well within the darkness cos most of her fur was black saved for bright areas of reds and oranges. "He is impressive isn't he?" Misthios looked towards Ikaros who decided to show off and spread his wings, he had an extremely large wing span but gosh he was stunning, Misthios however rolled her eyes and shook her head. "His name is Ikaros, and he's been a show off ever since he was little" She laughed and the bird bobbed his head looking happy and a bit smug. "They are aren't they, he was small when I first met him. I was full of surprise as he just seemed to keep on growing" But Ikaros never viewed her as prey or anything. He was her protector, and he'd watch out for her as long as he lived.
"Hello Tala" She answered finally "I was not aware others had birds? Do others carry birds as well?" She asked curiously. Misthios spotted the bird asleep on the husky, Ikaros was much too big for that. She wondered if he was even too big for the dogs backs, oh well she hadn't ever really given much thought to it.
When the fox spoke up and thanked him for the compliment, which was more of an observation, he failed to hide the surprise from his face as he lowered his haunches to the ground, eyes darting sheepishly from the fox to Tala. He said nothing, feeling a bit foolish and wondering if Tala was just as shocked as he that foxes could not only speak, but could be understood. She did have an accent, though. To be honest ... Jack thought foxes were closer in relation to cats than dogs. He was questioning everything now, "Ikaros, huh?" he commented, shaking off his initial surprise, "Don't fly too close to the sun." he joked, wondering who would get it.
Emmett suddenly joined them it seemed many of them were out for a midnight run. Jack probably wouldn't have bothered stopping but upon spotting the fox he had paused to make sure Tala was not dealing with an intruder. Gangs were being displaced everywhere, so it would be understandable they would come here, seeking shelter. The Saints' warehouse burned down, the Dodgers were run off by the Yardies and then the Saints took over a portion of the Yardies' turf. Everything was upended in the city at the moment and it made Jack grateful he was a member of the Eyes. So it made sense he was on higher alert than normal, "Just talkin' with this lovely lady." the Akita informed the newcomer, tilting his head toward the vixen and her companion as Tala inquired about what they were all up to, "Eh." he answered half heartedly, not really wanting to divulge how he had spent his evening, it was a private moment between Agwe and himself.
Looking between them, Jack noted that all three Eyes were of the Spitz variety oddly enough, two adorning birds much like Misthios, who had taken notice, "I'll let the keepers answer that, I don't have a bird." he gave a half shrug. Tag:TalaMisthiosEmmett Comments: ---
"Yo! I'm Emmett," he replied to Tala's introduction. He thought it was pretty cool there were more of them on the beach that had birds, though he guessed the fox wasn't technically part of the gang. Could she be, if she wanted? He'd never considered that before. Dizzybird was probably way too busy to be asked, he decided, and Valkyrie... well she kinda scared him! Best to stay out of her way and avoid irritating her. "And this one is..." he turned his head to indicate the bird perched on his back, but where she was he couldn't see her. "Uh..." Emmett went in a circle as he kept trying to turn himself far enough to see her, doing a complete 360 before giving up and plopping his butt down on the sand. "Well she doesn't have a name yet." He should really get around to that, he realized.
Jack said he'd leave it to them to reply, and Emmett blinked for a moment before remembering that he was technically a Keeper and it was, you know, his whole job to be knowledgeable about birds. "Oh, yeah, some of us do but not everyone. It's kind of a special job within the gang. None of the other gangs do it," he replied. Honestly, he wasn't certain what exactly he was supposed to be doing with the aforementioned bird, but since he didn't think he could do anything else in the gang he'd gone along with it. Maybe someday someone would come along and tell him what to do.
She dipped her head in greeting to all of them. "It's nice to meet you, Emmett. How are you doing?" Tala gave a quick glance toward the bird that was with the husky. "Perhaps we could train our birds together some day, if you'd like?"
The she-dog turned to address Misthios. "I am part of the falconry job, like Emmett. We bond with sea birds and train them to serve our gang," she explained. "I haven't started training Aither yet, although I hope to get around to it soon. He follows me everywhere, though, and we have a strong bond already."
She gave a soft laugh at Jack's joke, then scanned the two dogs and the vixen with dark amber eyes. She looked out at the sea, a black, slow-moving mass under the night sky. The moon brightened everything up, including the creatures' coats as they stood together, chatting. Aither gave a soft squawk as he settled down between her front paws, falling asleep. Tala gazed down at her bird affectionately, then back at the others that were gathered around.
She turned to the vixen again. "I agree, your coat is very lovely, Misthios." ~~~~~~~~~
"Misthios Speaks" | Tags: Jack , Tala , Emmett | Notes: Sorry for the wait!!
Misthios watched the surprise from Jack and honestly it hadn't been the first time she'd gotten this reaction. Either it was the fact she was a fox and could speak in an understandable language, her extremely thick Greek accent which some words were different and it also made her English different and lastly and probably the main one of all. How did she have such a giant bird of prey and it not wants to put her onto the dinner menu.
She smirked with a small chuckle at Jack's comment, finally someone who knew the reasoning behind his name. Back in Greece it was more understood well somewhat, but when they left home it seemed less and less known. "It's a good thing his wings are no made of wax" She aimed towards Jack with a friendly smile.
The keepers? It seemed this gang had even given the dogs a rank. So that probably meant more of them had birds. How interesting and it was something Misthios would love to learn about. She'd always wanted to talk to others who had a bird companion, they were so wonderful. Didn't matter the size, species or anything. She'd find her life very empty without Ikaros. One thing was rather obvious though, none of them had really seen a fox before or was it never seen a fox like her? She wasn't sure but either seemed right.
"How interesting" She said towards Emmett, a look of awe on her face. Really she was extremely curious about all of this, she'd never heard of anything quite like this. "I'd be happy to help you with naming your bird one day if you'd like?" She asked curiously. Extending out that olive branch for .. Friendship? Could she call it a friendship? Misthios didn't really trust enough to have friends but yet she did have friends and .. Never mind that whole thing made her head spin. Guess you could have friends even if you were someone like her.
"OH so you train your birds, so they may protect you and your gang? Like with how Ikaros protects me, he is also good at fishing whilst I'm not really" She laughed a little, that had been a guess but that was what Ikaros had done for her, so to her it made sense. "It's truly amazing" Misthios wished she could be a part of that somehow and perhaps even help with the training but it was hard. Gang life wasn't really for her as she was a mercenary and that was generally a life alone. She smiled watching the birds before Tala threw a pleasant compliment her way, and she turned to face her, dipping her head "Why thank you, Tala" She smiled once again. Ikaros seemed happy as well, he'd never really met many other birds and wondered how he could go about making friends. He couldn't tell if they were open or not, each bird sticking with their dog much like he stuck close to Misthios.
He had always loved stories, had a fairly active imagination that had been stunted by years with humans and on a chain in a yard just sitting in the dirt with nothing to do. He had no stories to tell, nothing interesting about him, so it was no surprise he had met a few dogs out there with fun tales and even folklore, including the one about the man who flew too close to the sun. Humans, never ceased to amaze him and he did wonder if the story was true, wouldn't surprise him.
He knew the story, the fox must have thought he was pretty smart, a clever fox! Jack sat up a little straighter, mouth parting to allow his tongue to rest coolly across his lower teeth, a big, proud smile on his face.
The fox was fairly interested in their eccentric culture, which felt a little different, most other dogs thought the beach gang was very strange, for more things than one, but one reason was definitely the keepers. The Saints, who still came and went on occasion, Jack didn't say anything to them about it, wasn't even uncommon before he had been locked up, but they were no exception, often looking on with confused faces, "Take her up on that, she's pretty creative." he assured Emmett with a wag of his curled tail, confident a fox that named her bird Ikaros could come up with a unique, interesting name.
Jack was no keeper, but he felt he could answer a question here or there, "I believe they're mostly for gathering food and stuff and giving us a heads up if they see something from the air we can't, trespassers and what not." he turned to the keepers, hoping he had gotten that mostly right, there were probably other things the birds were good for as well, but Jack could only go by what he had seen himself. The Akita was quite up to learning new things as well. Tag:TalaMisthiosEmmett Comments: ---
